I’m Here to Listen.
I’m Here to Listen.
Life has its up and downs and navigating through it alone can feel isolating but with help from a clinician and support from family and friends you can find ways to cope in a more functional and positive way.
I provide a safe, nonjudgmental, client centered, multi perspective, and integrative approach.
Each person has their own stories to share through their own life, childhood, and cultural experiences such as roles, hierarchy, religion, and collectivism vs. individualism. Furthermore, other important factors includes expectations, societal pressures, and various inner struggles ( i.e.. low self esteem, abandonment issues, fear, family dynamics, communication, and/or negative ingrained core beliefs, etc.) which makes each and every individual unique.
I try to help by guiding each client through their therapeutic journey with identifying each individuals uniqueness and strength and helping them to explore and conquer their unresolved core issues that maybe causing a barrier in living a fulfilled life. I believe any progress; little or large is a form of improvement. It shows that someone is at least trying rather than completely giving up.
Seeking help is a sign of courage and following through with treatment is a phenomenal accomplishment one can do for themselves and loved ones.
My focus are adults, teens, and families who are suffering from grief and loss, life transitions (divorce, blended families, behavioral and school issues, etc.), or trauma (from domestic violence or sexual abuse) who are working towards stabilization. In addition, I would like to provide counseling to individuals who are facing multicultural or acculturation issues. My parents were immigrants and I have relatives who have moved to the U. S. for a better life. I am bilingual and speak Korean fluently. Furthermore, I am open to seeing the aging and or individuals who suffer from disabilities due to my past experience in the last few years working in social work with such population.

Charles Darwin
Changes can be scary but at the same token it can be enriching and also lead to a positive outcome such as moving, changing careers, accepting a promotion, meeting new people, or even when you start counseling (different emotions may be triggered) but sometimes some unplanned abrupt changes may happen which may cause significant stress but a clinician may help by working with you through these changes.

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
